miraDry uses advanced microwave energy (miraWave™) to selectively reduce eccrine and apocrine glands, which are responsible for excessive sweating and body odor. Since treated sweat glands do not regenerate, long-term results can be expected.
Most patients notice reduced sweating and odor immediately after treatment, with continued improvement over time. Individual results may vary, but gradual changes are typically noticeable in daily life.
Local anesthesia is administered before treatment, making discomfort during the procedure relatively minimal. Temporary swelling or mild discomfort may occur afterward, but it generally does not interfere significantly with daily activities.
Many patients achieve excellent results with a single session. Depending on individual conditions, a second treatment may be recommended to further enhance results. Additional treatments are usually scheduled after an appropriate interval.
